About Cowgirl Chocolates:

"Head Cowgirl Marilyn Lysohir founded Cowgirl Chocolates in 1997. Her two favorite things in the world are art (she has a notable career as a ceramic sculptor) and chocolate. In fact her first job was working in a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. Marilyn mingled some favorite memories with some new ideas to create an American original, Cowgirl Chocolates...chocolates with a spicy cowgirl kick. She was the pioneer, one of the first companies to offer spicy chocolates in the world. Cowgirl Chocolates has won a total of 19 product awards and 2 packaging awards and is located in Moscow, Idaho USA. It has also been featured on the Food Network on “Unwrapped” and “Extreme Cuisine” and on CNBC “On the Money”. They have also been written up in the New York Times, InStyle, the Toronto Star among others."

Spicy Raspberry Dark Chocolate -the taste of fresh ripe raspberries blended with a very spicy dark chocolate

Spicy Hazelnut Milk Chocolate -wonderful taste of hazelnuts mixed with milk chocolate and spice

Spicy Cappuccino -dark chocolate outside with a spicy milk chocolate inside blended perfectly with espresso and crunchy biscuit bits.. a favorite at the ranch

What we thought: These chocolates are extraordinarily unique! The chocolate is amazingly smooth and sweet, but the spice adds quite a bite depending on the flavor you choose. What a kick! The Cowgirl Chocolates we reviewed were truly unlike any I have ever tasted and absolutely delicious! If you don't like spice, definitely stick to the mild flavors...the kiddos loved them. B and I definitely preferred the spicier truffles and caramels and it was really fun tasting the different flavor combinations the Cowgirls put together:) The variety of yummy treats goes way beyond truffles at Cowgirl chocolates...they have caramel sauce, choclate bars, cocoa mix and some really gorgeous gift items. These would make perfect stocking stuffers this holiday season:) ABCD Diaries gives Cowgirl Chocolates and A!
