What we thought: Wow! What an inspiring book! This book is written in the voice of Max, the dog and the story is beautifully told. This book is a great tool for teaching kids about tough subject matter including illness and death and to open their eyes to the beauty and joy of loving someone unconditionally. It teaches about taking care of others and making the most of every day you are given. Through every situation, Max keeps his positive attitude and even in the end(which left me in a puddle of tears) he shows the importance having a loving and fulfilling life. This beautifully written story would be perfect for kids, 6+, and dog-lovers of any age:) ABCD Diaries gives Life to the Max an A+!!
