Our Ultimate Sneak-Away Contest is a fun way for moms to share their favorite ideas for sneaking vegetables into tasty, creative meals that kids love. Check back often for new recipes to try with your family!
Here’s How It Works:
• Enter your “Sneak of the Week” – your favorite tip, trick or recipe that sneaks veggies into a meal, snack or dessert
• Each week The Sneaky Chef, Missy Chase Lapine and the team at Veggie Patch will choose our three favorite “Sneak of the Week” recipes. These finalists will become Undercover Mothers.
• The Undercover Mothers will receive a fantastic prize pack including a Flip Video™ UltraHD™ Camcorder, so they can film themselves showing how they whip up their “Sneak of the Week” at home. Check back on February 15 to see the videos!

This is one of our favorite submissions so far:

Deceptive Brownies
1 c. shortening

2 c. sugar

4 eggs

7 TBSP cocoa powder

1/2 of a 10 oz. box of frozen spinach, thawed, drained and pureed

1 1/2 c. +2 TBSP Flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. nuts (optional)

Powdered sugar
"Beat the shortening and sugar until creamy and fluffy. Add eggs, spinach, cocoa and mix well. Slowly add the flour, baking powder, salt and nuts.
Pour into greased 13"x9" pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a knife into center--you want it to come out clean.
Lightly dust with powdered sugar and serve!"
