What we thought: These DVDs proved to be very engaging for my kiddos. We live in Texas and being able to communicate in Spanish is getting more necessary every day. Our kiddos have been exposed to Spanish since they were born. We have several Spanish speaking friends and relatives so they are familiar with the sound of the language and they even know a few words, but I am really glad we found this set of DVDs to help reinforce the Spanish they know and add even more words to their Spanish vocabulary. Both A and D really enjoyed watching kids their age speaking the words and they had fun repeating them. The hostesses of the program are very likeable and the pronunciation is very clear. They repeat the words a lot, but I believe repetition is crucial in vocabulary building. Since watching the DVDs both kiddos have been using more Spanish words in everyday conversation and we have been having fun "quizzing" them on the words they've learned. We have definitely seen results since the kiddos started watching the Kids Love Spanish series, not to mention they have been requesting to watch it, which I love, because I know they are learning while watching TV when one of these DVDs is playing:) If you are looking to introduce Spanish to your little ones or build the vocabulary they already have, you should check out this set of DVDs!
