Global Warming Salsa Review...

We recently had the chance to try out a sampler of one of my favorite things...salsa:)  The generous donating company: Global Warming Salsa!

Classic MILD
"This is where it all started: a fresh, fire roasted, all natural salsa featuring gourmet flavors blended into a mouthwatering taste and texture. No harsh aftertaste, just smooth fire roasted flavor. The original mild is packing just enough heat to get your attention, not too hot, but enough to let you know there are some peppers looking for your approval. We like to call them jalapenos and chipotles! We rate the heat index at 80 degrees…not too hot, almost comfortable…"

Classic MEDIUM
"This is what happens when you let a Chilehead play in the kitchen…a little more heat, a little more fire roasted flavor, a little more sweat when you are eating it. Same peppers as the mild, they just brought along a few more friends. Not too hot, but definitely something that smolders. The great thing about this salsa? It gets better the more you eat it! We rate the heat index at 96 degrees…some people may be better off looking for some shade with this one…"

Classic HOT
"Serious heat lovers will like this one. Be careful you don’t get burned; this one brings the habaneros out to play…and it turns out that they play well with others. If you like to play with fire and are not afraid of getting burned, this is your salsa. A little hot at the beginning, but very hot the farther you go. Global Warming Hot Salsa still comes at you with the mouthwatering taste that won all of those taste tests, but packing a wallop. We cannot say for sure that sunscreen will help you here, but get ready for a to hurt a little. The heat index on this one is a scorching 105 degrees…careful what you touch!"

What we thought: Global Warming Salsa is pretty tasty.  The best part is that they have a variety to fit everyone's salsa preferences.  The kiddos preferred the Mild which has a "heat index rating" of 80 degrees.  They love salsa, but can't handle as much spice as B and I so this was perfect for them:)  The Medium salsa had a rating of 96 degrees and was my favorite.  I usually go a little spicier, but the flavor of this one was incredible!  Fresh tasting and perfect for dipping or pouring over pretty much anything:)  The Hot was rated at 105 degrees and was pretty tasty, but in my opinion the heat kinda cancelled out the flavor on this one.  B's favorite was, of course, the END OF THE WORLD rating:)  He likes it spicy and said this version was spicy AND flavorful which is sometimes hard to come by in a salsa:)  As major salsa lovers, ABCD Diaries gives Global Warming Salsa an overall rating of....an A+!!

What we thought: Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!  If you are a fan of the amazing bluesy voices of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger and Rod Stewart, you will LOVE Johnny Reid!  From his upbeat, addictive love songs, to his soulful cover of "Help Me Make it Through the Night", Reid's music is pretty special.  This DVD was a great compilation of some of the best music I've heard in a while.  He really takes me back to the "good ol' days" of music while I was growing up.  What a joy!  I am really loving Johnny Reid:)  ABCD Diaries gives this fabulous DVD and the music of Johnny Reid an A+!!

Squip Nasal Care Review and Giveaway...

We recently had the cahnce to review a few products from Squip.

What we thought: I have a lot of sinus issues so I was pretty excited to try these products from Squip.  I really loved the Andas Inhalator.  It has some serious decongestion power and is really easy to use.  The results are immediate and amazing!  The Nasaline Irrigation System is one of the best I've used!  It is so super easy to use and I didn't have any of the issues I've had with faulty neti pots.  The Squip products I tried worked wonderfully and were simple and quick solution to help relieve my sinus congestion.  ABCD Diaries gives Squip an A+!

What we thought: This mat was really neat!  It does take a little getting used to, but you can definitely feel the mat working while laying on it and afterwards.  It is actually quite comfortable once you get used to it.  My favorite area to use the mat is on my back...soooo relaxing!  It actually works wonders on your feet too if you can handle standing on it.  It's kinda one of those things that "hurts so good" you know?  If you suffer from aches and pains or need a little stress relief and would like to try an in-home version of Acupressure, this mat would be a great start! What we thought:  We LOVED these chips!  We are big fans of kettle cooked chips at our house and these were delicious!  The had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor and everyone in our family enjoyed them.  The variety of flavors appealed to each person...the number one requested chip was the Sea Slat and Balsamic Vinegar...YUMMO!  The Jalapeno were great as well and not too spicy...even our kiddos could handle them.  The Honey BBQ was exceptional and the Lightly Salted and Unsalted were simply flavored, but still tasty:)  ABCD Diaries gives Michael Season's Kettle Cooked chips an A+!!

What we thought: I really loved both Grab Green products.  The 3 in 1 detergent couldn't be easier!  Just toss the packet in the wash and you're good to go:)  The laundry smells wonderful and gets wonderfully clean without risking using harsh chemicals on the kiddos sensitive skin.  The Wet Dryer Sheets were awesome too!  I loved that they can be used more than once...this saves me time and money:)  Our clothes came out soft and static-free.  The products from Grab Green are really awesome.  If you are looking for a green alternative in your laundry room, you should give them a try:)  ABCD Diaries gives Grab Green an A+!

What we thought:

These hair care products were really awesome!  I don’t normally use a lot of “extra” hair products, but even shampoo and conditioner can eventually leave hard to remove build up on my hair.  The IlLustrious Shampoo worked really well and left my hair feeling cleaner than it has in a while.  The RoMANce conditioner worked great at smoothing my hair and leaving it super soft, though I did seem to need to use a lot of it.  The Taffy was awesome and left a soft, not crunchy feel to my natural curls.  The SpotShine really left my hair super shiny.  These at-home products provided a salon-quality clean and style that my hair could really get used to:)  ABCD Diaries gives Belegenza an A+!

What we thought: This was a great YA fiction novel!  It is a spot on depiction of what the average tween would have experienced several decades ago, though the modern 12 year old experiences many of the same situations.  That is what makes this book appeal not only to the YA audience, but the adult audience as well…kind of a flashback to their youthJ In Zanesville is a great book written beautifully. ABCD Diaries gives In Zanesville an A+!

What we thought: These pans were AWESOME!  We tend to cook our food in large batches and our everyday pans just weren't really cutting it.  We often had to cook dinner in two skillets to save time(which actually adds time to washing the dishes) and anytime we cooked something with a sauce, it would overflow and make a mess of the stove top.  The Jumbo Fryer was EXCELLENT for all of our fried dishes and much more.  We could easily use it to add pasta and toss everything together without spilling a ton! It was also great for my husband's famous Mexican rice, which is a staple in our house:)  The Saute Skillet is now our go-to pan for almost every meal.  It is big enough for every meal and cleans up so easily:)  The pancake pan is the favorite of the kiddos...they love their mini zoo animal pancakes...they really are cute and the pan cleans up much more easily than I predicted it would!  Definitely a great way to get the kids more excited about eating breakfast:)  ABCD Diaries gives Nordic Ware an A+!  (I'd give them a higher score, but A+ is as high as we go:)
