His favorite was the hearts on a rope toy.  It is made to be interactive and he loves tug-of-war so it was great!  He is pretty hard on plush toys, but he loves them, especially the squeaky ones and he can get to that squeaker pretty fast:)

What we thought:  

We love the Neater Feeder!  We have a bit of a messy eater in our pup Shiner.  The Neater Feeder keeps everything contained in one spot and keeps the messes off the floor.  No more kicking over the water or food dishes with his big paws:)  It's nice too because he is one of those doggies who moves his bowl all along the floor when he eats, so you never really no what part of the kitchen its going to be and we would trip over it A LOT.  The dishes stay put in the Neater Feeder an we haven't tripped over it once:)  

Neater Feeder has several size options for dogs and they also have cat feeders.We reviewed the Large Dog Feeder and it came with extenders which make it even taller.  These will really come in handy since he is still a pup with some growing to do:)  

I love the sleek design of the Neater Feeder.  It has a very sturdy design and is well-built.  It's also VERY easy to clean.  We are definitely pleased with our Neater Feeder!

Lucky Spoon Bakery: Gluten-Free Never Tasted so Good! #Review

We recently had the chance to review several baked goods from Lucky Spoon Bakery:

What we thought:  
Seven-year-old A told me this review would be really easy to write.  When I asked why she said it should be short, three words to be exact..."These are YUMMY!"  I couldn't agree more about the "yumminess" of our goodies from Lucky Spoon Bakery, however, I'd like to embellish a bit:)  We've tried a lot of gluten-free baked goods and I must say that these are, by far, the BEST we've EVER tried.  I am not exaggerating.  I can't usually get B to try the gf stuff we review, but after hearing the kiddos and I raving about these, he caved and tried them.  He is the biggest gluten-free skeptic I know and he came back for more and more and more until every box Lucky Spoon Bakery had sent us was empty.  All five containers were gone within 5 days of receiving the package and we will definitely be picking these up at our weekly Sprouts shopping trip in town.  The whole family loved them THAT much!  

So, why were they so great?  Mainly because they tasted delicious and you couldn't even tell the were gluten-free.  That is hard to do, my friends, but somehow Lucky Spoon Bakery has mastered the art!  Everything was moist and chewy and flavorful, which are characteristics many gf baked goods lack.  Even if you are not restricted to a gluten-free diet, you are sure to enjoy these tasty treats!

If you remember nothing else from this post, remember the words of A:  "These are YUMMY!" and get your hands on some ASAP!

What we thought:  
Brenda's Perfect Brittle is truly a taste straight from the Southwest and one of the most interesting snacks we've tried in a while.  All of the flavors are sweet and some even pack a spicy kick.  We sampled Cherry Pecan, Cashew, Green Chili Peanut, Red Chile Pecan, Fiery Peanut and Chocoholix D'Lite.  They have quite a variety of flavors and these are just a few.  These brittles are gluten-free and vegan friendly.  

"Fiery Peanut"

One of the most interesting things about this brittle, other than the flavor combos, is that it doesn't get stuck in your teeth like other sticky brittles.  It still has that yummy brittle taste, but not the "sticky teeth" side effect:)  

"Green Chili Peanut"

Brenda is a personal trainer, so when she decided to create these candies, she made them a little healthier but reducing the calories and lowering the fat content.  She also packs them with tons of healthy nuts!  The best part?  You can't tell they've been healthified!

"Red Chili Pecan"

These unique candies would make great gifts or fun party snacks.

What we thought:  
Cool Gear Inc is a fantastic company whose mission is to create fun, functional and reusable products that can replace disposable things we use everyday.  We reviewed a lunch bag and a filtered water bottle.  The Sonoma lunch bag is fully insulated, easy to clean and comes in several stylish prints including our favorite, the purple and zebra print.  What a great way to make a fashion statement!  At only $24.99, this bag would be a fantastic replacement for a plastic sack or paper bag and it's big enough to carry lunch and a snack!  The EZ-Freeze Pure 64 oz water filtration bottle is great too!  The built-in filter helps reduce the taste of chlorine and other yucky stuff in tap water and can filter up to 100 gallons of water.  The filter is connected to a freezer stick that can be frozen to keep your water cold.  The result is cold, clean water!  There is also a handy gauge on the lid that can help you keep track of how much water you are drinking so you can stay properly hydrated day after day.  No need for disposable water bottles with this nifty, large capacity jug!  At $17.99, this bottle makes a great replacement for those cases of plastic water bottles.

What we thought:  
This is a fantastic magazine for girls ages 7-15.  I love this magazine because it helps build self-esteem and focuses on positive role models.  A has been wanting a magazine subscription, but everything for young girls seems to focus on celebrities and fashion that are a little too risque or topics that are gossipy, negative or just too adult for my almost 8 year old. 

 I was thrilled to find a magazine that focuses on stories about real girls, how to make a positive difference and community service while also featuring fun games, crafts, advice and jokes.  

I asked A what she thought about the magazine (though I'd witnessed her reading it from cover to cover several times over:) and she said she LOVED it!  She said her favorite part was the advice column because it told her other girls had the same problems as her and they gave her good ideas on how to solve them.  Profound, right?  A magazine that let's my little girl realize that she's not alone with her problems?  I couldn't ask for more:)  She also gushed about the craft idea and the contests.  She is super excited to receive her next issue!  

The only drawback of this magazine, in my opinion, is that it's only published 6 times a year...Good thing A doesn't mind re-reading them:)  If you have a girl in your life between the ages of 7 and 15, both A and I would highly recommend this magazine!

This line includes room sprays, wax melts, candle jars and scented oil refills.  There are several new fragrance options including Lift Off, Live Loud, Splash Out, Let Loose and Dig It.  We really loved the beautiful scent of magnolia and white tea in our Lift Off candle jar and the fun fruity scents of the Splash Out, Let Loose and Dig It room sprays.  Let Loose is a fruity blend of kiwi and peach and Dig It is a lovely blend of citrus and sunflower.  

The wax melts worked wonderfully in the wax warmer.  The scent is strong enough to spread quickly throughout a room without being too overpowering.
