  We recently had the chance to review the Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener:

What we thought: 

This pencil sharpener was created by an elementary school teacher who was tired of the distraction loud, inefficient sharpeners were causing in her classroom.  As a homeschooling family, we go through a lot of pencils and have tried our fair share of sharpeners.  We've had an old-school hand crank, which the kiddos found to difficult to use...it took quite a bit of force to make it work properly and it always chewed pencils up badly.  Most recently, we've been using an electric sharpener, but it is really loud and my youngest was a bit frightened by it.  So we were really excited to try out the Classroom Friendly Pencil Sharpener!

Here is D giving it a try for the first time:

He loved it!  It is easy to mount on the table with a clamp that doesn't do any damage and can be easily removed.  This keeps it in place, while the gadget at the top keeps the pencil in place.  The sharpener was easy enough for both kiddos to use and worked wonderfully.  It produces sharp pencils every time and it isn't crazy loud.  The kiddos love sharpening their pencils now:)
