Welcome to the 50 Cures For Boredom + $150 Visa Gift Card Giveaway, hosted by Thrifty Nifty Mommy and Viva Veltoro!
Summer is just around the corner and kids everywhere are looking forward to their summer break! Are YOU ready? Summer can be full of fun memories for families, but it can also be 3 months out of they year where mom and dad are consistently hearing, "I'm boooooored." 50 Cures for Boredom is a brand new book, written by Lorraine Hawley the author of ThemeTrip.com, that will put the fun back into your family time! When asked why she wrote this new book, here's what she had to say:
I have, for many years, created unique adventures for my own family. We have stepped outside the norm, explored our environment, and travelled, following a set theme from start to finish. These very special memories encouraged me to share my ideas with other families and help them step outside their own comfort zones, shy away the ideas of "normal" activities, and begin to explore what's possible. I found that many of the ideas became educational even when they were meant to just be fun and teens actually became engaged and put down their cellphones to participate. My goal when I wrote "50 Cures for Boredom" was to inspire others to enjoy their often limited quality time together with easy-to-follow theme ideas and create the kind of memories that last a lifetime.Let these 50 boredom busters be your go-to resource anytime, anywhere!
If you're tired of hearing, "I'm so bored!" or the dreaded, "what do you want to do today?" (Insert whiny voice here) then 50 Cures for Boredom is the book for you! It lets you choose a theme, follow a few simple steps, and start enjoying your day. Instant ideas for kids, date nights, homeschooling, and family adventures are at your fingertips any time you need a quick Cure for Boredom! Take an imaginative journey with your family. Create a treasure hunt through the wild in your own living room; star in a fashion show runway with stuffed animals cheering you on; and host your very own Superhero Convention. 50 Cures for Boredom is a must read for busy parents, grandparents and couples with limited time and even limited budgets. It offers ideas that initiate imagination and play – and they're not just limited to children and teens; boredom cures also offers unique, away-from-the-kids date nights and explores creative family road trips. Many of the ideas covered in this book can easily be adapted to fit a home schooling curriculum and inspire creative, educational play. 50 Cures for Boredom is available for purchase as an ebook ($4.99) or paperback ($9.99) from Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. For a limited time (through May 16th) you can purchase the ebook from Amazon.com for just $1.99!
