What we thought:  

The Playaway is small enough to fit in your hand and would be great for listening to audiobooks virtually anywhere.  You just plug in your headphones and you get a fantastic listening experience wherever you are.  They would be great for travelling with kiddos and the backlit screen allows them to be used in the dark.  This gadget is easy enough for my young kiddos to use and they love it!  They've each listened to this book over and over again.  I can't wait until we can find these at our local library!
