We recently had the chance to review a gourmet food subscription box service, The FareTrade:
With The FareTrade, each month the box is curated by a different chef who pairs their food selections with their own recipes. The August box features Chefs Megan and Colby Garrelts. Their restaurants are Rye and Bluestem and can be found in Kansas City. The items they picked to include in this month's box are items they currently use in their restaurants.
The box came beautifully presented with full color recipe cards and information about the chefs and the products.
This month's featured products were:
The Roasterie Air-Roasted Coffee: Bluestem Blend
Featured in the recipe for Coffee Ice Cream
Pure Natural Honey from Speckman Honey
Featured in the recipe Roasted Pork with Sweet and Sour Peaches
Joe's BBQ Sauce from Oklahoma Joe's
Featured in the recipe Smoked Brisket
Baia Pasta
Featured in the recipe Twins Pasta with Crab and Prosciutto
Just Sea Salt Quinn Popcorn
Featured in the recipe Caramel Corn with Roasted Nuts and Spice
They even threw in a yummy shortbread cookie:
The FareTrade is a excellent way for foodies to learn about new chefs, curators and products. It is so beautifully presented and contains such a cool variety of gourmet products, it would make a fantastic gift. It's definitely a fun way to broaden your culinary horizons, one box at a time!
ABCD Diaries gives The FareTrade an A+!
