We are really enjoying using this gadget to monitor the indoor and outdoor temperatures. This time of year is a crazy weather time for Texas...85 degrees one day and 50 degrees the next. It's pretty unpredictable. We enjoy having our windows open during this season and this monitor let's us see at a glance what the temperature difference is so that we can decide if we should open them or not. It also gauges humidity which is a major factor along the coast where we live. The monitor is easy enough for the kiddos to use and I think it's helping them understand weather patterns a bit more, which is an added bonus:)
The sensor is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and can be mounted outside of your house for reliable temperature readings.
It's also neat that the monitor can track the highs and lows over a 7 day period. Pretty cool stuff! The monitor has an Ice Alert function as well, which would be great for colder climates. The LED screen is easy to read and is backlit at the touch of a button in case you want to take a reading in dimmer light.
So many cool functions and a great price too! This unit is just under $40.
This will be a great tool year round!
