If you like trying artisan foods from different areas of the country, make Oklahoma your next stop! With a subscription to Okie Goodies you can discover new treats made in Oklahoma every month. B was born in Oklahoma, so we were excited to see what gourmet goodies came in this subscription box.
Inside every Okie Goodies box you’ll discover tasty treats grown, mixed, or made by small businesses across Oklahoma. Each Okie Goodies Box is built around a monthly theme, and contains 5-7 full-size treats made by small businesses from across the state. These can include ready-to-eat snacks like jerky and chocolate, salsas, spices and rubs, soups, tea, nuts, sauces, honey...the list goes on and on!
The theme for the box we received was Poppin' Firecrackers and our box was stuffed full of goodies!
Our box actually featured 9 full-sized treats, more than the 5-7 that was expected from the description on the website. Yay for bonus treats!
-Premier Popcorn Liberty Mix
-BlackJack Spicy Beef Jerky
-Sweet Prairie Home Firecracker Fudge
-Trader Dave's Spicy Cheddar Popcorn Seasoning
-Mema's Authentic Salsa
-Suan's Scotch Bonnet Flavor Sauce
-Twisted Oak Foods Twisted Sauce
-Triple "AAA" Root Beer
-Triple "AAA" Cream Soda
This was such a fun box and a great sampling of Oklahoma's best! We loved the spicy theme and enjoyed trying each product. The package also came with a very detailed pamphlet describing each product and giving background on the artisans whose items were included in the box. There was even a map pinpointing the location each product came from. So cool! With subscriptions starting as low as $25/month, we were very impressed with the value of this box. What a fun way to explore the home state of our neighbors to the north!
