New Mexico-based company, Bueno Foods, is celebrating their 65th Anniversary! They are famous for their green chiles. However, they launched a line of products called Buenatural recently and we are excited to share these products with y'all this fall!
We got to try several Bueno Foods products...Here is a little info on each:
Organic Non GMO Wheat Tortillas
Organic and Non GMO Project Certified, these tortillas have an authentic homemade flavor. No artifical additives or preservatives. Aluminum free baking powder. Per serving: 0g trans fat; 0mg cholesterol; 0g saturated fat.
Natural Blue Corn Tortillas
These natural corn tortillas are made with 100% pure nixtamal cooked and steeped slowly for maximum flavor and function, then stone ground. No refined corn flour. No artificial additives or preservatives. 3 simple ingredients: blue corn, water, lime.
Hatch Autumn Roast Chile
New Mexico Certified Chile™ guaranteed to be grown in the fertile Hatch River Valley and roasted to perfection at our premium level roast, deeply caramelizing the natural sugars in the chile, giving it a robust, wholesome flavor like New Mexicans have enjoyed for generations.
We decided to use the Blue Corn Tortillas and the Hatch Autumn Roast Chiles in one of our favorite green chile dinners, Green Chile Casserole.
Take this yummy casserole, we layer corn tortillas with "taco" spiced meat, green chiles, cheddar cheese and cream of mushroom soup.
Bake until browned on top and voila:
A hearty meal the whole family loves! The tastes are perfect for fall:) We didn't use all of the chiles, so B threw them in the food processor with some tomato and onion to make a lovely salsa as well:
The Whole Wheat Tortillas were great multi-purpose tortillas, my favorite use was for breakfast tacos!
We loved our Bueno Foods products and can't wait to try even more of them!
