We recently tried out Chef'd for the first time and we loved it! Chef'd is unlike most food delivery services in that YOU pick the meals you want and how often you want them. There is no subscription. You browse hundreds of delicious hand curated meal kits, find the one's that best fit your family's taste, skill level, etc. and nearly all of the ingredients you need are shipped straight to your door.
Your high-quality ingredients are shipped fresh and pre-portioned in a well insulated and temperature controlled box.
I love that on the outside of the box there is a label telling you exactly which country or state your ingredients are coming from:
We oredered two family kits, the Carne Asada Platter and Bucatini with Pancetta and Green Onions. The recipes featured gorgeous food-tography and lots of tips and pairing suggestions, as well as easy to follow directions for your recipe.
Here are the ingredients for the Bucatini dish, plus a bonus salad kit as a free gift:
This meal was quick and easy to prepare and the whole family loved it! We did add some tomatoes for an added pop of color and flavor and this simple meal was delicious and hearty!
Our Carne Asada Platter was also a huge hit! It required a little more time than the first meal and it had to be grilled, but it was well worth the effort! This kit came with meat for 4 and all the produce to make grilled corn, roasted salsa and a simple guacamole, spices, cotija cheese, plus Mexican rice and tortillas:
We really enjoyed this meal with the exception of the rice. B is our resident Mexican rice cooker and his authentic recipe was passed down to him, so we are a little picky when it comes to other Mexican rice recipes:) The grilled street corn was my favorite part of this meal...spicy and sooo flavorful!
All in all, we really enjoyed our Chef'd experience and would recommend it to anyone who needs meal inspiration or a quick and easy way to meal plan without the hassle of making lists and grocery shopping! Chef'd meals also make great gift ideas for busy families!
