Spice Things Up This Spring with Tucson Tamales!

**Complimentary products received in exchange for our honest review.  All opinions are ours and ours alone**

Living in South Texas, we get our fair share of delicious tamales year round.  Mostly, what we eat would be considered traditionally flavored tamales, so we were super excited to try out Tucson Tamale, which makes what I would consider to be gourmet tamales with a Southwestern flair!

Tucson Tamale has restaurants in Tucson of course, but if you aren't lucky enough to live near one, you can order their goodies online.  They come packaged safe and sound in an insulated freezer box.

Tucson Tamale takes pride in the high quality and consistency of their delicious tamales.  It all starts with the organic and non-gmo masa.  Many tamales are made with lard but these tamales are made with a healthier non-gmo expeller pressed canola or sunflower oil.  Not to mention, everything is handmade, which IMO, is absolutely necessary when it comes to a good tamale!

We got to try out the aptly named Box of Happiness, which is the gift box with something for everyone. For the meat eaters, there are Green Chile Pork with Cheese, Green Chile Chicken and Red Chile Beef. For the vegetarians: the Green Corn made with masa from organic corn kernels right from the cob, mixed with green chilies and cheddar cheese; the Blue Corn made from organic blue corn masa filled with summer squash, tomato, onion, peppers and cheese; and the Black Bean and Cheese made of black beans, roasted corn, red peppers and cheddar cheese.

We loved these tamales!  Our favorites were the Red Chile Beef and the Green Corn.  These tamales are so easy to prepare...just steam or microwave for a few minutes and dig in!

Tucson Tamale has an amazing lineup that includes Meat Tamales, Vegetarian Tamales, Vegan Tamales, Breakfast Tamales and even Dessert Tamales!
