Check out today's hot summer must-have for the tween and teen crowd...the FUJIFILM instax SQUARE SQ20 camera!
13 year old A has really shown an interest in photography lately and she was super excited to get to try out this instax camera since it's a camera and photo printer in one.
The instructions are simple and she had all the features mastered in about 10 minutes. Kids these days are so much more tech-savvy, am I right?
This isn't your mom's instant camera from days past. The hybrid design lets you preview and edit your image before you print on the 2.7” TFT Color LCD monitor with 230K dots resolution. There are 16 different Filters that can be applied to both still images and video.
This instax has a built-in crop tool and the Sequence filter offers the ability to capture dynamic images, adding a dreamy feel to the image. They thought of everything with this version of the instax! It even has a selfie camera next to the lens for taking those ubiquitous teen selfies!
Some of A's favorite features include Frame Grab which allows you to shoot a video up to 15 seconds long and select the frame that captures the best moment. Capturing a moving subject has never been so easy. She also loves the Timeshift Collage where four images can be taken with a time difference at one time. Press the shutter button to shoot when four images appear on the monitor. The time difference between frames can be adjusted within 0.2 to 2.0 seconds.
Here are some other cool features worth mentioning:
Double Exposure
Two shutters go off and the two pictures are combined into one image.
Bulb Mode
The shutter remains open while the shutter button is being pressed.
Split
Multiple images can be captured on one images. Select four segmentation options: vertically halved, horizontally divided in three, divided in quarters and divided in nine.
Collage
You can create a collage style image where one image is divided up at random or you can take photos for each segment.
Zoom
The SQ20 is the first camera in the instax series to include a digital zoom function. The digital zoom allows you to zoom up to 4x to adjust your view.
The internal memory holds around 50 still images. More can be saved by using a Micro SD card. Reprinting allows the last 50 photos to be printed from the print history. Index prints can be created with a four-frame or nine-frame layout and the camera comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.
This camera is compatible with Fujifilm Instax square film (2.4” x 2.4”) - 1: 1 aspect Ratio. Using the 1: 1 aspect ratio, Instax square film allows for more capture of the scene in a single photo, delivering exceptional image quality with numerous artistic expressions.
All the bells and whistles and this camera is still super easy to operate! A is having a blast capturing her favorite moments of the summer and plans on building a summer collage board to keep as a memento:)
If you have a budding photographer or just a teen who likes the instant gratification of a camera that can instantly print photos, check out FUJIFILM's great line up of instax cameras. There is an instax camera for every budget!
