Today we are going to share with you one of the most entertaining family games we've played in a while. Are you familiar with Cards Against Humanity? The game we are featuring today is like a tamer, family-friendly version of that adult card game. We couldn't be more excited to introduce you to Not Parent Approved!
Not Parent Approved is an award-winning party game for tweens, teens and their families. I would say ages 8 and up are best and a group of 6-8 makes the game really fun without being overwhelming.
If you're not familiar with this type of game, don't worry. It's super simple to learn. One person draws the question card and all the other players search their hand for the best answer to the question. The question asker gets to read these out loud and decide which is their favorite. It doesn't have to make sense either...sometimes the most outlandish answers are the most hilarious!
Our kiddos, ages 10 and 13, loved this game and we thought it was pretty fun too. What a great way to get them away from their electronic screens and have some quality time as a family.
The game comes with 455 durable, premium-printed cards and there are a couple of expansion packs available for when you start repeating cards. Not Parent Approved is a take anywhere size which makes it great for parties, sleepovers, road trips, flights, picnics, and summer camps. Trust me, this game will be a hit with the tween and teen crowd all summer long!
There is a fair bit of potty humor (boogers, bodily functions, etc.) so if you don't appreciate that type of talk, I wouldn't recommend it. If, however, you have a good sense of humor, this game will gift your family with hours of screen-free entertainment this summer!
