Guys! I have found a super fun company that is the perfect tool to strengthen your relationship with those you love! Date Night In Box! This awesome subscription service offers monthly boxes of goodies revolving around a central theme. The activities and products in the box are meant to be used to provide you and your partner with a fun date night in each month. What better way to connect with your partner than by sharing a new experience together in the comfort of your own home? Check out our first Date Night In Box...Great Love:
This box's Great Love theme is focused on exploring the fun and glamour of the Roaring Twenties. It includes items to set the mood, two games, a couple's project, a tasty treat to share and a handy dandy guide to help plan your Date Night In.
Time to set the mood! This box included a shade and tea light to enhance the mood of your date night. Place the candle in a stemmed wine glass and wrap the shade around the glass for a unique form of decor/mood lighting. Genius!
The box came with an amazingly yummy and shareable tub of creme brulee fudge from Chocolate Moonshine Co! (We shared ours while watching our date night movie...more on that later:)
We also found everything we needed for a fun Murder Mystery Game, kind of like the board game Clue. So much fun!
Our Date Night In project for this month was to work together to create a Time Capsule to be opened at a later date of our choosing. What a neat idea! I loved doing this as a kid! I can't wait to open our new capsule...hopefully with our children and grandchildren:)
There was also a set of dominoes and the instructions for playing the game Mexican Train. Dominoes are always fun and this is one of my favorite domino games!
The included guide is full of great info. The Reflection section gives you discussion topics, ways to continue your date night and movies that you could watch that tie into the theme.
B thought the discussion questions were kinda cheesy, but they were a great jumping off point for an open discussion.
To continue our date, we decided to play other domino games and a couple of card games too.
We hadn't seen several of the recommended movies and settled on Midnight in Paris...loved it!
You also get a specially curated menu in each box. You can even get a printable grocery list for the recipes! I thought the idea of cooking up a fabulous meal with my hubby was an awesome date without all the other stuff...lol! We love cooking together and we especially love eating together, so this was one of our favorite parts!
This month featured recipes for Daisy's Shrimp Cocktail, West Egg Caprese Skewers, Quilt Mint Juleps (plus a mocktail version, yay!) Hotsy Totsy Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato Sliders, and Bowtie Brownies. Yep, all that goodness and the recipes were on point!
You also get access to a Spotify playlist with mood setting music. We listened to this while we cooked. It was awesome!
This was way cheaper and lasted a lot longer than a "normal" date night. In our opinion, it was way more fun too!
Looks amazing right? To recap, for just $41.99 (with free shipping), you’ll get a complete date night totally planned out for you with several activities, ambiance, music, snacks, recommended dinner menu and more. If faith is an important pillar of your relationship, Date Night In is now offering the option to include a faith-based discussion guide as part of your experience. If you want to involve the kiddos, they have a Kid's Night In box as well! So much awesomeness! Check it out!!
Trust me, after your first Date Night In experience, you will definitely find yourself looking forward to the next month's date! This is a great way to get us to slow down and make a point to have at least one night, just the two of us, to reconnect and have some fun!
Stay tuned for next month's Date Night In Box and a giveaway!
