Grandpa Beck's Card Games for the Whole Family #WelcomeSummer #Giveaway

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Grandpa Beck's for providing product samples in order to facilitate this post.  All thoughts are strictly my own.

Games are one of our favorite screen-free boredom busters and our summer just got a lot more fun with an awesome selection of card games from Grandpa Beck's!

Grandpa Beck's has fun, unique card games for everybody!  They have great games for your littles and games involving a little more skill for your bigs.  Check out a few of our favorites:

Skull Kings

Fans of trick-taking games like Hearts, Euchre, Wizard, or Whist, will love Skull King. The best trick taking game is now better than ever! It’s competitive, rowdy, and exciting.  This new version includes all the original cards and rules - with refreshed artwork - plus new expansion cards and optional rules that dial up the intensity even more!  Crafty, strategic, scheming, and conniving are all words that describe pirates. They also describe the people that love this game.  As the most elaborate of Grandpa Beck's card games, Skull King is best suited for players 8 and up. Includes 110 beautifully illustrated cards in a travel-friendly box.

It took us a minute to figure out all of the rules to this game, but once we did it was a lot of fun.  Definitely a great game for those who love strategy!

Cover Your Assets

The goal of Cover Your Assets® is to be the first player to achieve a total of at least ONE MILLION DOLLARS in assets! During gameplay, players stack matching pairs of assets to create their own asset stockpiles. Excitement builds when players attempt to capture the top set of assets of other players. Players initiate challenges by showing another player a card that matches the other player’s top set of assets, or a wild card.  Assets are secured each time a set is covered, so make sure to cover your assets!

This game was so much fun!  It's a matching game with a little bit of challenging and defending involved.  Good stuff!

Nuts for Mutts

A fast paced hand-elimination game with many unique twists.  The pile in the center of the table is your dogs’ home! You can play a dog card if it matches the color, number or breed of the top card. The Mutt, Flea, Fire Hydrant, Dog House, and Pedigree cards are wild cards with special consequences!

This was a fun game, very similar to UNO, but with fun wild cards and a dog theme.  We loved it!

The Bears and the Bees

The Bears and The Bees is a charming, tile-placement game, where the first player to get rid of all their cards wins. This contemplative and strategic game is one of a kind. This game is an intriguing and challenging game that’s part puzzle and part contest. Players compete to link honeycomb shaped cards to a growing hive. You do this by matching the colors on 2 or more sides of cards from your hand with those in play on the table. If you can match more than 2 sides you earn bonus plays. Stringing these bonus plays together will allow a skilled player to play multiple cards each turn.

The special cards, Flowers, Drones, Bears, and Worker Bees add strategy and excitement. Drone’s make earning bonus plays easier, Worker Bees and Flowers deliver stings to your opponents, and the Bears, well, those honey grubbing pests just get in your way.

This is a very unique game and it was a blast!  There is definitely some thinking involved in this one, but still a hit with both the 10 and the 13 year old. Plus, the cards are really pretty:)

Grandpa Beck's has an awesome selection of fun card games for the whole family.  Check them out and spend some quality screen-free time with your kiddos this summer!
