#HolidayGiftGuide - Outside the Box: The Perfect Gift For Crafty Kids and Teens!

*DISCLOSURE* Thank you to Outside the Box for providing product samples in order to facilitate this post.  All thoughts are strictly my own.

If you have an artistic kiddo, Outside the Box should be on your radar this holiday season!

These fun boxes are created to offer hands on art projects that tie in to a picture book to encourage and all around learning experience that your kiddo won't soon forget. With a subscription, each month they’ll explore a different art project or theme with engaging projects that promote creativity.  You can choose between a Regular Box (enough supplies for 2) and the Family Box (enough supplies for 4 artists) or Insider’s Club, all digital subscription.

Each box contains a picture book that relates to the project to inspire and set a context, written easy to follow instructions with a QR code and link for a resource page with video tutorials and other resources, and all of the art supplies needed for the project. Art supplies are full size – not sample sizes.

Our box was the Yummy Still Life Art box:

This box includes: the hilarious classic book, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, by Judi Barrett,  8 sheets of high quality watercolor paper, a set of Faber-Castell Eco Watercolor Pencils, 2 brushes, 2 water cups, paper towels for blotting, detailed instruction booklet and a link to the tutorial video and other resources.

Instructions were easy to follow and A dove right in, excited to get started!

Outside the Box makes it easy to provide your child with fun, imaginative, and educational art projects, with no experience and no planning necessary other than to order the kits!

The boxes & projects are designed for elementary age children – roughly 5-11. If your child is on the younger end, they will need more parent involvement that older children do.

A and D are 16 and 13 and both found this kit to be easy to follow and fun.  They loved the high quality watercolor pencil set that came with the kit and have used them several times since completing the included activities.

Outside the Box would make a lovely gift for kids and teens who love trying out different types of art projects and enjoy exploring their creative sides!  Check them out this holiday season for a gift that will last all year long!
