Looking for a fun way to bring the whole family together this Spring? How about hosting a family game night featuring TENZI games?! These games are fun for all ages and can be learned played very quickly. Check out our favorite TENZI games:
First up, the original TENZI game and is accompanying expansion deck, 77 Ways to Play TENZI:
The basic concept of TENZI is simple. Everyone gets ten dice. Someone says, “Go.” Then everyone rolls and rolls as fast as they can until someone gets all their dice on the same number and shouts “TENZI.” Super easy, super fast, super fun. Here are some fun variations that we've really enjoyed as well:
TENZI TOWER: Instead of putting your successfully rolled dice aside, stack them one on top of the other. First player to get all ten of their dice stacked and shout “TENZI” wins!
SPLITZI: Instead of trying to get all ten dice of one number, try to get five dice of one number and five dice of another number, and then yell “TENZI”.
TEAM TENZI: Join forces and play in teams! Get all your team’s dice on one number. Or play this way – each team member goes for a different number!
MEGA TENZI: Ten dice not enough for you? You’ll really have your hands full with twenty dice! Double the challenge, double the frenzy!
STEALZI: If you see another player roll the number you’re going for, steal those dice and give the player an equal number of your dice. No stealing on the first roll of the game, or from any player going for the same number as you!
TARGET TENZI: All players declare which number they’re going for before the first roll. Or, decide on one number that everyone has to go for!
Next, ITZI is a letter matching game that is tons of fun!
Quick, name a drink with bubbles that starts with “C.” If you said, “Coke”, “Champagne”, or “CoIa,” you pretty much know how to play. ITZI is super-simple to learn, and super-fast to play! Be the first to match the right letter cards to the right clue cards. Plus, there are lots of ways to play with fun, colorful twists. ITZI… It’z simple! It’z fast! It’z letters! It’z laughs!
Lastly, Slapzi is a card matching slapping game that is sure to leave you laughing.
SLAPZI is all about speed. Be the first to match the right picture cards to the right clue cards. SLAPZI is super-simple to learn, and super-fast to play!
We have had so much fun with these games! For the record, we are playing with two teenagers and two adults, but this game could easily be played with younger kiddos and lots more than four people at a time. TENZI games have been a great way to bring the whole family together and I know we'll be playing these for years to come.
